THE POSITION

FanDuel is seeking a talented and motivated User Experience (UX) Researcher to join our Atlanta based team. This individual will play a critical role in deepening our understanding of users and enhancing our products by applying user-centered design principles and delivering impactful research. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UX Research principles, experience leading projects from start to finish, a passion for understanding user behaviors, and the ability to connect research findings to actionable product improvements.
THE GAME PLAN

- User Research Execution:
- Successfully plan, organize, and conduct unmoderated and moderated user research sessions.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups to craft a research plan that meets project objectives in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Simultaneously manage multiple research projects across the various stages of the research process
- User-Centered Design Feedback: Provide user-centered feedback on designs, ensuring alignment with user needs across multiple platforms and devices.
- Product & Business Familiarity:
- Master the intricacies of the product, including relevant user journeys, challenges, and needs.
- Gain a strong understanding of the FanDuel business landscape, its goals, and strategic priorities.
- Proactive Product Improvement: Identify areas for product enhancement and provide well-researched recommendations for potential solutions.
- Research Methodology Selection: Serve as the subject matter expert on research methodology and confidently match research methods to project objectives.
- Data Integration: Begin integrating analytics and experimentation data into research planning and reporting, leveraging support as needed to expand capabilities.
- Actionable Research Application: Proactively suggest and conduct research initiatives that directly target product priorities and address gaps in user knowledge. Ensure findings are effectively translated into actionable recommendations for the product team.
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- Minimum of 2+ years of previous experience as a UX Researcher
- Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and their application across diverse platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to connect research insights to product development and business goals.
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including usability testing, moderated interviews, surveys, data synthesis, and analytics integration.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and execute user research independently or as part of a team and balancing multiple projects & priorities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
- Familiarity with research tools and platforms used for unmoderated and moderated testing.
- Analytical mindset and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing user pain points.
- Previous experience working with digital products and services in a fast-paced and dynamic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of Sportsbook, Casino, Horse Racing, and/or Fantasy Sports industries is preferred, but not required.

The applicable salary range for this position is $102,000 - $140,800 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
