THE POSITION

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Onsite AV Senior Engineer to manage and oversee all audiovisual (AV) technologies and broadcasting events at the various FD corporate offices. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of AV systems, including cloud streaming platforms, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proven track record of managing and executing live events. This role requires a hands-on professional who can ensure seamless AV operations, support internal and external events, and provide technical expertise.

The role is also responsible for the management of the daily operation and internal partner relationships, ensuring an environment of collaboration, responsiveness and effectiveness. You oversee AV project delivery, operate and maintain AV equipment as needed, and ensure on-time completion. You prepare system audits to verify that equipment runs at the optimum level and provide operation reports and project updates as requested. In this position, you will ensure that you provide a quality service that meets all user expectations.

Other duties include completing development and monitoring of KPIs, developing methods to improve provided services or products, assisting with employee recruitment and training, answering stakeholder questions, and managing their expectations.


THE GAME PLAN

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of AV equipment, including projectors, IPTV's, screens, sound systems, video conferencing systems, and broadcasting equipment.
  • Ensure all AV systems are functioning optimally and address any issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all AV equipment.
  • Plan, set up, and execute AV aspects of live and virtual events, including town halls, webinars, fireside chats, all-hands, conferences, and other corporate events both on and off-site.
  • Coordinate with event organizers & workspace/facilities to understand AV requirements and ensure all technical needs are met.
  • Administer & Operate AV equipment during events to ensure high-quality audio and video output and overall success.
  • Provide technical support for AV-related issues to all staff members.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Work jointly with 3rd party vendors/partners to support events.
  • Train staff on the proper use of AV equipment and systems.
  • Work closely with the IT department to integrate AV systems with the overall IT infrastructure.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Stay up to date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends to recommend solutions, implement improvements, and contribute to the design of the AV architecture.
  • Maintain accurate records of AV equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and event setups.
  • Create and update documentation for AV systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide regular reports on AV system performance and event feedback.
  • Collaborate with support teams within the organization across the globe around the planning and successful execution of projects.
  • Establish and maintain professional rapport with all stakeholders and LOB, ensuring the operation is delivering appropriate solutions and meeting required level of what is expected.
  • Drive and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to standardize and improve the operation.
  • Perform system audits to verify performance aligns with established SLAs.
  • Assist Support teams with other tasks as assigned that may be outside of the AV scope.


THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 5 years of AV management experience preferred
  • Installing, configuring and programming of TVs, universal remote controls, home & commercial theater systems, wireless audio systems, surveillance systems, wireless and wired networking equipment, IoT devices and controls.
  • Assist with hardware installation as needed (mounting TVs, projectors, screens, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and service existing and AV systems
  • AV rack design and build
  • Cable terminating, toning and testing
  • Working consistently and effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Friendly and precise communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Must possess strong organizational, efficiency and detail-oriented skill sets
  • Thrive on problem-solving and creative solutions
  • Ability to read and follow AV blueprints & architectural drawings
  • Ability to work on site up to 5 days per week.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as needed for business purposes 
     
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITSM is a plus.

The applicable [salary] / [hourly] range for this position is $118,000 - $140,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
