FanDuel is looking for a Sportsbook Product Strategy Director. This role serves as a partner and advisor to the Sportsbook Product & Pricing leadership team who aim to ensure that all our teams have well thought through, clearly articulated, high conviction strategies and an optimized operating model to help us realize our product vision. The successful candidate will be a critical partner and thought leader on this. The role also entails supporting our product teams in assessing emerging opportunities and technologies within sportsbook. If you’re a strong collaborator, communicator and strategic thought leader with an interest in shaping the future of the sports betting customer experience in the US this could be the role for you.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Sportsbook Product & Pricing leadership team to vet and stress test existing product visions and strategies. Influence and shape them into a sharp and crisp communication for our teams to optimize alignment, focus & productivity
  • Identify and prioritize strategic initiatives and opportunities facing the business
  • Collaborate to define clear hypotheses to identify new opportunities and support analysis, research and modeling to inform strategy
  • Develop strategies that are well aligned to long term business goals
  • Clearly defined posture on notable areas/initiatives we’re consciously not pursuing
  • Develop and teach a deep understanding of FanDuel’s Sportsbook product, business and competitive landscape to inform strategy
  • Partner, collaborate with and support central business strategy team in projects requiring Sportsbook Product & Pricing input
  • Build trust in our teams among our key stakeholders through high performance, education, empathy and relationship building
  • Lead, support or represent the Sports Product & Pricing leadership team in executive presentations, biz dev or broader company strategy setting initiatives Play a leading role in role modeling and encouraging a more fearless innovation culture at FanDuel
  • Mentor high-potential employees in FanDuel

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of management/strategy consulting, product management or related experience/discipline
  • Considerable experience leading teams and managing projects
  • Demonstrated ability to own and implement strategies
  • Exceptional communicator and influencer
  • Excellent organizer and collaborator
  • Commercially savvy with a strategic mindset
  • Learning attitude
  • Ability to take broad direction, use initiative, and translate to well-researched, actionable output
  • Knowledge of sports betting domain preferred but not essential

The applicable salary range for this position is $166,000 - $207,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
