We are looking for a Brand Marketing Vice President to lead and shape the Sports Brand strategy at FanDuel. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Marketing, this is role will be responsible for advancing an innovative, consumer-focused brand strategy that amplifies FanDuel’s presence across diverse markets and channels. By fostering customer acquisition, engagement and loyalty, this leader will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and supporting FanDuel to solidify and advance its position as a leader in the competitive sports betting and gaming entertainment industry.

As a key member of the Marketing leadership team, you will collaborate cross-functionally to shape a brand strategy that inspires and appeals to a diverse audience, while enriching and entrenching our brand position in the minds of sports and gaming enthusiasts. This position sits at the intersection of brand and communication leadership, synthesizing and elevating the impact of 4 critical direct reporting teams; 1) Brand Strategy, 2) Product Marketing, 3) Integrated Campaign Management, and 4) Organic Social & Editorial Media. 

This highly visible leadership role demands a master of the art, science and leadership discipline of marketing, with equal parts creative thinking, strategic rigor, and team inspiration and focus. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise strategic planning and engaging with senior leadership.

Strategic Brand Leadership

  • Optimize and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that enhances FanDuel’s reputation and presence in the industry.
  • Leverage our suite of media, partnership, and relationship assets to deliver a holistic strategy that further accelerates our growth, unlocking material incremental revenue.
  • Oversee the strategic positioning of FanDuel’s Master brand, our Sportsbook primary brand, and the complementary roles of sub-brands such as TVG Horse racing, Fantasy, and partner support brands.
  • Experience in ideating and articulating the why and the how of an idea to effectively gain leadership support
  • Build a brand platform and positioning strategy to drive the business for the next chapter of FanDuel’s growth.
  • Develop culturally relevant marketing initiatives informed by customer insights and market trends to create impactful campaigns.

Campaign Execution and Optimization

  • Lead creative and campaign teams to deliver impactful advertising in line with brand position for short & longer-term communication priorities
  • Shape and market FanDuel’s Responsible Gaming platform to ensure we Win with Integrity and build a brand to lead a category our team can be proud of in the community.
  • Transform data-driven insights pertaining to our marketspace, customers, and category into actionable strategies that elevate creative communication and deliver measurable business growth.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a high-performance culture that delivers on key performance indicators.
  • Identify, develop, and retain top talent within the brand team to ensure continued excellence and innovation that has an outsized impact on the trajectory of the business.
  • Inspire internal and external stakeholders, including leading key agency partners, to deliver value aligned with FanDuel’s brand goals.
  • Represent the marketing department in cross-functional projects, providing strategic input and ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
  • Build effective relationships across the organization to ensure the brand agenda is well understood and integrated into all business functions.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading strategic marketing function on a brand side
  • At least 5 years of experience managing and developing teams, preferably within a multi-tiered organizational structure.
  • Proven track record of creating innovative, successful marketing campaigns and managing deployment in dynamic business environments.
  • Expertise in connecting marketing actions to business outcomes, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional ability to distill complex ideas into relevant and compelling insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience translating customer and market data into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to balance short-term deliverables with long-term, strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with a talent for crafting engaging and persuasive narratives, tailored to situation and audience
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence, motivate teams, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Experience working in the sports, gaming, or entertainment industries is highly desirable.

The applicable salary range for this position is $200,000 - $275,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
