THE POSITION

We're looking for an entrepreneur in search of their next project. Someone with the heart of a strategist,
and the mind of a creative. A big-idea, original-thinker, who can help design and build a full-service
in-house social team from the ground up, someone looking to guide the strategic development of wildly engaging social creative that redefines the sports betting category and makes our brand famous.

We’re currently hiring a Social Strategist to build our in-house social team. This role is highly collaborative, and applicants should be comfortable working closely with colleagues in creative, media, growth, analytics, marketing and have at least a passing understanding of the nuances of the NFL’s catch rule.

 

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

Lead the strategic planning, creative intent and ultimate performance of our social campaigns.

Write the award-winning briefs that lead to award winning creative, essentially.

 

  • Leverage a deep understanding of social marketing to build effective, innovative marketing strategies across social platforms

  • Partner with the creative director of social to build-out a formidable team

  • Provide strategic guidance to ensure creative cohesion across social media
    within a given social campaign

  • Initiate creative/campaign planning to give leadership greater optionally and visibility.

  • Apply strategic thought-leadership and fluency in each brands’ unique tone, manner and value proposition
    to develop impactful, socially native campaigns

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in the development and presentation of integrated, innovative, strategic marketing solutions 

  • Initiate brand strategy discussions and subsequent market research initiatives to identify market needs and create and exploit brand opportunities 

 

  • Ensure our creative partners honor the strategic intent in the development and execution
    of marketing assets

 

  • Analyze paid social performance and use data-based insights to develop creative content strategies

  • Define key performance indicators to support brand strategy and objectives, conduct analysis
    to determine program ROI, help create and inform metric reports and dashboards, and make recommendations based on learnings

  • Liaise with internal brand teams and external agencies in relation to creative recommendations,
    testing roadmaps, and optimizations

  • Follow trends and innovations to impact integrated communication strategies
    (eg, media, digital, research, etc) 

  • Identify moments for brand-led initiatives to engage with sports fans

 

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 3+ years of strategic and/or creative experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in a strategic role
  • Bachelor's Degree in advertising, marketing or behavioral sciences
  • Ability to work top down and bottom up
  • Strong showcase of campaign work across a variety of media
  • Significant advertising experience, whether in-house or agency
  • Applicants should be conversant in all major sports as well as the basics of sports betting
  • Proven track record of turning data and insights into high-performing assets
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities required
  • Strong communication, listening and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must have the ability to work well with diverse populations; and demonstrated level of cultural competence
  • Strong presentation skills

 The applicable salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
