The Position

FanDuel is hiring for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join a small team of Program Managers in our Delivery Excellence space. This team supports our engineering teams to deliver better by providing support and guidance via three core offerings: tooling, education and consultancy. The vision is for teams to become more self-sufficient and embrace a culture of continuous improvement, so this team operates as servant-leaders and in a pull model to help teams succeed. 

In this role, you will manage programs and their delivery end-to-end, working alongside teams to coach, consult, facilitate and provide targets and objectives to work towards. 

Some of your responsibilities will include: 

  • Promote and use all aspects of ‘core offering’ as relevant to teams: tooling, education, consultancy. 
  • Tooling - recommending tool provision and configuration that suits team processes and allows measurable insights 
  • Education - being a subject matter expert and resource to teams through materials, tutorials and facilitation
  • Consultancy - provide analysis, coaching and guidance to help teams achieve Delivery Excellence outcomes 
  • Own multi-phase complex programs that impact the entire engineering organisation
  • Investigate and understand data-driven delivery insights to support driving continuous improvement
  • Balance trade-off decisions between short and long term needs 

What We’re Looking For

  • A passion for continuous improvement and motivated to enable others 
  • Experience coaching engineering teams around different iterative methods of delivery (Scrum, Kanban) 
  • Experience using insights gathering or business intelligence tools such as Jira, EazyBI, Jellyfish etc. 
  • Experience using engineering delivery tools such as Jira, Advanced Roadmaps, Confluence etc. 
  • Experience working and negotiating with third party vendors 
  • Ability to understand architectural concepts such as scalability, reliability, availability etc.

We operate a hybrid model for the majority of our roles, where we normally spend a day or two in the office per week.
