THE POSITION

FanDuel Group is looking to add a Senior Cyber Governance Analyst to its Cyber Governance team to build and support all cybersecurity governance processes including the development, adoption, and maintenance of cybersecurity and technology controls, policies, standards, and procedures. The Senior Cyber Governance Analyst will report to the Cyber GRC Director within FanDuel Group’s Cybersecurity team, and will play a pivotal role in ensuring FanDuel has a fit for purpose governance framework that aligns to security best practices and optimizes the value our people, processes, and technologies can bring to our customers.

 

THE GAME PLAN

  • Develop, review, and manage cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and process policy exception requests, providing thorough analysis and recommendations to maintain an effective security posture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure policies and procedures are communicated, understood, and implemented consistently across the organization.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of existing policies, making updates and enhancements based on emerging threats and evolving business needs.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams to enhance awareness and understanding of cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure policies are reflective of organizational goals and industry changes.
  • Help define cybersecurity governance processes and forums to drive alignment and synergy between the different governance groups across FanDuel Group as well as Flutter Entertainment and its subsidiaries.
    • Facilitate the creation of a cybersecurity committee. Including its charter, membership, agendas, meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up.
    • Facilitate the engagement of members or key stakeholders on impactful activities during the cybersecurity committee or related processes.
    • Gain a deep understanding of FanDuel’s cyber risks and ensure alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and regulatory changes to inform and adapt cybersecurity governance strategies.
  • Assist with special cybersecurity governance and department initiatives, as assigned.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing expertise and promoting continuous professional development.

 

THE STATS
What we’re looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a technical field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Information Technology) or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity governance, risk and compliance
  • Proven track record in writing and maintaining cybersecurity and technology policies, standards and procedures and executing applicable policy exception processes.
  • Experience with supporting cybersecurity governance committee meetings and related reporting.
  • Easily adapt to a rapidly evolving, fast-paced, Cybersecurity environment as it relates to changes in strategy or risks
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, principles, tools, and security industry control frameworks (e.g., GLI, NIST CSF, ISO, SOX, SOC2, PCI, CIS Critical Controls).
  • Experience with data governance and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, local state regulations)
  • Strong understanding of technical terminology (e.g., platforms, architecture, procedures).
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CGEIT are preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and quality assurance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with using GRC platforms.
