THE POSITION

This is an exciting Product Owner opportunity within our FanDuel Sportsbook Retail team, where you will be responsible for owning early life initiatives, conducting analysis to determine feasibility, and acting as a liaison between business and technology stakeholders.

 

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • You will take ownership of early life initiatives to translate ideas into an understanding of feasibility, complexity, scope, and high-level understanding of customer outcomes
  • Using your agile processes and lean thinking experience you will be a thought leader in our early life analysis and delivery processes
  • You will elicit and analyze requirements from stakeholders to ensure solutions are both innovative and fit for purpose
  • You will assist the business stakeholders in the FanDuel prioritization process
  • You will be responsible for designing and implementing appropriate story and backlog management structures for individual projects and or team
  • As a project resource you will lead a team through the breakdown of large/complex pieces of work into items for prioritization and delivery
  • You will help drive continuous improvement in how we get things done across the entire organization
  • You will work in collaboration with divisions across the Flutter group, to discover opportunities to streamline or re-invent business processes and see these through to completion
  • You will facilitate effective workshops

 

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Strong Business Analysis and/or Project Management/ Product Owner experience
  • Ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders to build detailed requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills
  • Able to pivot and reprioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • A Team player and fast learner who will find ways to add value, both individually and through enabling their teammates
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to high traffic / distributed software systems
  • Exposure to high throughput mission critical systems
  • A self-starter able to work both autonomously with minimal supervision and collaboratively within an agile team
  • Experience of, or passion for, Agile delivery processes (used in software or web-based projects) and a willingness and enthusiasm to promote a culture of inspect and adapt
  • Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating stakeholder workshops
  • An ability to define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and sign off processes
  • Exceptional analysis skills
  • An individual who drives high standards for individual accomplishment and works to meet or exceed challenging goals
  • High level of self-awareness displayed and good understanding of the behavior relating to the environment.
  • An ability to constructively challenge and question as well as actively listen  
  • Is used to working in a fast-paced environment helping to provide clarity to delivery teams when priorities change
