THE POSITION

We are hiring for a Product Designer to join our Core Product and Experience team.  Our CPE Product Design team designs experiences which underpins the rest of our business and drives interactions and connections for customers, allowing them to enjoy their gameplay even more.

  • Can lead projects and goals with medium-high scope and/or ambiguity.
  • Needs little input to start or work on approaches to take forward a project. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines the solutions to meet schedules and goals
  • Develops new approaches for tackling a problem, using known methods, and anticipating problems
  • Is an experienced professional with a full understanding of one or more functional areas
  • Has experience in working on both customer facing and internal application design
  • Can lead and facilitate team meetings (including non-UX&D meetings). Actively contributes to ensuring team meeting are effective, calling out pivots or changes to process to ensure effective working environment.
  • Receives coaching in technical and behavioral skills. Actively coaches less experienced team members in technical skills. Helping onboard new team members
  • Spends time observing customers and is involved in validating solutions with them
  • Actively educates the team and stakeholders on UX & Design best practices

  • Can demonstrate key contributions to multiple projects on multiple shipped products and showcase the relevant behaviors and functional knowledge during those projects.
  • Can work with stakeholders to understand pain points and opportunities and can abstract learnings to find the right problems to solve and work collaboratively to find the right solution, rather than just task completion.
  • Has a strong sense of understanding impact of work within feature design, as well as impacted consequences throughout a broader journey or wider needs.
  • Has a solid grasp of UI fundamentals, content, hierarchy, visual design and can identify and has the ability to add moments of interaction delight to elevate customer experience.
  • Has experience and an advocate for designing for for scale and consistently, advocating for the use and contribution to the design system.
  • A respected partner amongst peers in product and engineering. Identifies product overlaps and gaps in their own work.
  • Good working knowledge of user research process and methodologies. Maintains a good knowledge of customer behavior in a product
  • Comfortable presenting, communicating and influencing rationale to partners. Develops persuasion techniques

The applicable salary range for this position is $102,000 - $140,800 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
