THE POSITION

FanDuel is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), to operate as a strategic thought partner to Executive level leaders and their teams across a global geographical footprint. We are looking for candidates that are humble, collaborative, fast learners and have exceptional experience operating as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, demonstrating excellent judgement, business acumen and ability to influence effectively at all levels.
The successful candidate will have past experience integrating themselves into the client group they support, developing a deep understanding of the unique needs of the workforce, and developing and executing strategies for attraction, retention, development, engagement, and operational excellence.
THE GAME PLAN

In this role you will play a key role driving and/or supporting people initiatives for assigned departments within the Risk and Trading organization to support their departmental goals.
- Operate as an experienced strategic thought partner to the SVP and VP leaders of the Risk & Trading operations for the FanDuel product and jointly own decisions for all people related matters. Provide expert guidance to ensure achievement of desired team/department culture across geographical locations and sub-business units.
- Operate as the conduit between client group(s) and People Team COEs to ensure first class strategic business solutioning and responsive, quality support, addressing the needs of employees and leaders.
- Leverage key partners in Legal, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Finance to deliver solutions for the teams you support. Coach and support the development of Senior Leaders through employee life cycle process execution by providing best practices and innovative guidance in navigating difficult conversations, resolving employment issues and overall performance management principles.
- Own workforce planning, change management efforts, and organizational development and reorganization as needed considering current and future capability needs. Own talent development and advancement initiatives within your Business Unit / Function/ Department, leveraging knowledge of roles performed and the talent within your client groups
- Support and resolve, as appropriate, complex and sensitive employee relations cases and recommend appropriate actions in partnership with key stakeholders (management, internal employment counsel, ER Director, etc.). Ensure regulatory compliance and identify development needs for teams and individuals.
- Leverage key metrics (quantitative and qualitative) and insights from dashboards on employee movement to create a compelling story / actions that help senior leaders drive the business forward.
- Own delivery of annual core HR processes including YE performance management processes, goal setting, compensation planning, D&I initiatives, learning and development offerings, employee engagement survey, etc.
- Identify and initiate development and refinement of broad HR policies, processes and procedures as needed. Keep up to date with HR best practice and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Be a champion of FanDuel Culture and FanDuel Principles and encourage managers and employees to incorporate in their day to day.
- Other duties may be assigned to fulfill FanDuel Group objectives and/or job duties and requirements may be changed as needed to meet current and future business needs.
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- Minimum of 9 years’ experience in a Human Resources related field with minimum of 2 years of ownership and partnership with a Senior level / C-suite level leader
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and think clearly under pressure
- Excellent competency within the HR function: succession planning, org design, coaching, recognition programs, talent management, communications, compensation, and change management
- Strategic and innovative thinking – Ability to develop solutions to the business to solve problems
- Proven experience supporting senior leadership, preferably with a data/analytical population
- Demonstrated ability to leverage Data & Insights to influence decision making
- Change Management Expertise
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with stakeholders, colleagues, and team members.
- Proven organization and people leadership skills. Ability to get work done through others effectively.
- Excellent Commercial/Business acumen – How to translate business strategy into HR related programs and initiatives.
- Agility and adaptability – Capability to pivot and manage change as well as move quickly to provide a competitive advantage.
- 3 days a week in Jersey City office and one day in NYC office
- Strong knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws pertaining to the employment relationship.
- Excellent process and project management skills
- College degree in related business field, preferred

The applicable salary range for this position is $146,000 - $201,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
