THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Enterprise Staff SaaS Engineer to join the SaaS Engineering Team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Atlassian Suite. Additionally, this role will handle UI configurations, automation, and integrations to optimize business processes and the user experience. This is an exciting opportunity to help elevate revenue driving marketing initiatives at a premier gaming company.


THE GAME PLAN

  • Work with the team in identifying, documenting, and supporting our business use cases for our evolving core services
  • Maintain, optimize, and scale Atlassian applications
  • Drive solution design, architecture, and implementation across the Atlassian platform to meet business needs
  • Configure user provisioning, workflows, issue types, automation rules, custom fields, schemes, permissions, add-ons, dashboards, reports, and integrations
  • Configure Confluence spaces, templates, and macros to improve collaboration
  • Develop custom scripts to automate administration tasks and enhance productivity
  • Provide trainings to users and teams to increase user adoption and promote new features
  • Collaborate with other key SaaS stakeholders to provide collective oversight of the SaaS applications platforms
  • Provide Tier 3 support for critical system issues and escalations, working to resolve problems quickly and minimize downtime.
  • Promotes optimal useability of SaaS Applications capabilities
  • Have a good understanding of Integrations of SaaS Platforms and the ability to provide guidance and implement such configurations
  • Monitors roadmap for upgrades to SaaS services and establishes the mechanisms by which we share relevant changes with our people
  • Works with the Internal Controls teams in ensuring content management policies for SaaS Applications are complying and updated as business needs evolve
  • Works closely with the Security team, prioritizing safety of the company's systems and content
  • Identifies potential points of integration between SaaS platforms services on the core device-top and works with technical colleagues to deliver key integrations
  • Continually evaluates opportunities to improve our people's experience of technology, preferably in a scalable way
  • A coach and mentor to other team members, providing training if required
  • Foster trust and builds relationships with the other Enterprise Technology teams
  • Attends regular vendor meetings for areas of expertise, stays informed of latest technology roadmaps, security notifications, and bug/hot fixes
  • Ensures vendors provide proper levels of support, maintain SLAs, and provide root cause analysis for escalated issues
  • Ensures all team, departmental and company policies and procedures are adhered to, including technical change management and service continuity
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet company goals and objectives


THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. (Master’s preferred)
  • ACP-520: Atlassian Cloud Organization Admin or ACE (Atlassian Certified Expert) preferred.
  • Expert-level proficiency in technical support and administration in the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Management, and associated plugins and add-ons
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Atlassian REST APIs and OAuth Application links
  • 7+ years in developing API scripts, webhooks, and integration points for building custom solutions and integrations
  • Strong development skills in languages such as Groovy, Python, or JavaScript, with experience in customizing and extending Atlassian applications
  • Proven experience implementing security best practices for Atlassian products (e.g. IP allowlist, user roles/permissions)
  • Hands-on administration experience in Jira Service Management
  • Experience with SSO best practices with SaaS application integrations.
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and junior team members.
  • Project management and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work for maintenance or emergencies.

The applicable salary range for this position is $146,000 - $182,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
