THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for an Enterprise Risk Manager to drive our second line enterprise risk program initiatives and act in advisory role to their aligned area of the business and Business Control team(s). You will play a key role on the Legal and Compliance team, with the subject matter expertise that ensures risk management practices are appropriately managed and adequately scaled across the enterprise and 1st-Line Business Control teams.
THE GAME PLAN

- Work closely with aligned Business Control team(s) as well as first line senior and executive management to facilitate and ensure consistent implementation of Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and related Enterprise Risk Programs (ERPs) (e.g., Issues Management, Risk Measurement) across the first line
- Serve as primary point of contact and risk management subject matter expert for aligned first line team(s) and ensure adherence to established business risk and control expectations
- Execute independent, holistic assessment of first line team’s risks; analyze and aggregate results to maintain a holistic view of risk across aligned first line team(s) (e.g., Enterprise Risk Assessment, Risk Register), identify trends and provide additional advisory support and insights
- Promote a strong risk culture throughout the organization, fostering awareness of risk management principles and practices across the enterprise
- Provide training to first line teams on risk management best practices
- Review and provide credible challenge of first line’s risk and control self-assessments
- Provide expertise, guidance, and support of first line’s control design and effectiveness
- Serves as subject matter expert to business to analyze and review control testing results and provide expertise on corrective actions to close control gaps and weaknesses
- Stay abreast of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, operational risks, and other risk exposures; proactively identify areas of emerging risks
- Oversee risks exposures across aligned first line team(s)
- Serve as a subject matter expert on risk management and strategic objectives and provide advisory support and guidance to first line teams and executive leadership
- Provide cross-functional insight and lead coordination for ad hoc risk events, issues, and remediation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address risk related issues and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Continually assess and enhance the effectiveness of ERMF and ERPs; identify opportunities for improvement and drive implementation of related changes across aligned first line team(s)
- Ensure process, risk, and control standards are aligned to Flutter’s/FDG’s risk frameworks and taxonomies
- Provide numerous ERP inputs to facilitate ERM’s reporting activities to executive management, risk committees, and board
- Monitor business landscape for emerging risks and risk events; escalate, as needed, and provide advisory support of remediation efforts
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ related experience
- A strong aptitude for identifying and assessing risks, evaluating controls, and other risk governance activities
- Experience drafting executive summaries, reporting, and/or presenting to senior and executive leadership
- Program development and project implementation skillset required
- An exceptional team builder and team player
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Dedicated team player who is able to withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Highly organized, results driven, problem solver, and collaborator
- Experience working as a consultant covering risk, compliance or audit work a plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $114,000 - $143,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
