THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Director, Performance and Talent Management to drive our performance and talent management strategy and processes. You will play a key role on the People Team to develop and implement initiatives in areas including performance management, talent management, and talent development programs. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow and build programs that will impact the experience of our 4,000+ employees at FanDuel, both in the U.S. and internationally.

In this role, you will lead the enhancement of FanDuel’s performance management framework and develop strategies to identify, support, and grow critical talent across the organization. You’ll design an internal talent identification strategy and create practical tools for people leaders to drive performance, strengthen succession planning, and support employee development. Your work will ensure we attract, retain, and develop the skills needed to meet our business goals while building a strong internal pipeline for future leadership. By implementing effective talent and performance initiatives, you’ll play a key role in shaping FanDuel as an employer of choice and delivering measurable results from our talent investments.

 

THE GAME PLAN

  • Performance and Talent Management
    • Enhance, develop, and maintain FanDuel’s performance management framework to support employees and people leaders in delivering world-class performance, including goal setting, check-ins, performance ratings, and assessments.
    • Design and implement a comprehensive talent management strategy including an overarching philosophy, strategy, tools and processes that align with FanDuel’s values and business strategy, fostering a consistent approach to identifying and developing talent across the organization.
    • Incorporate industry best practices around performance and talent management, along with an understanding of the needs at FanDuel, to design and continuously improve our talent and performance practices.  Gather feedback from employees and leaders with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Develop and manage an annual performance and talent management calendar to ensure timely execution of key activities such as goal setting, check-ins, performance reviews, talent assessments, and succession planning, providing clear milestones for employees and leaders.
    • Design and implement strategies to improve the identification and development of key talent populations critical to business success.
    • Provide strategic oversight and execution of talent development programs, career paths, capability mapping and succession planning initiatives.
    • Build a suite of tools to help people leaders engage and develop talent, strengthen succession planning, and support career aspirations.
    • Collaborate with Flutter brand talent teams to ensure alignment across the broader organization.
  • Training, Development, and Collaboration
    • Partner with Learning and Development to create training programs for people leaders, equipping them to manage performance and talent effectively.
    • Partner with HR Business Partners to align performance and talent management strategies with business needs, ensuring tailored support for leaders and employees across the organization.
    • Train managers and employees on performance management tools and best practices.
    • Work with cross-functional teams, including HRIS experts, designers, vendors, and facilitators, to ensure seamless execution of talent and performance programs.
    • Collaborate with DEI team to ensure talent and performance management processes are equitable and inclusive, fostering a diverse pipeline of leaders and talent across the organization.
  • Data and Continuous Improvement
    • Partner with our data teams to design and implement reporting systems to provide relevant data, analytics, and insights for informed decision-making on talent and performance.
    • Support senior leaders in interpreting talent and performance management data to drive strategic decisions.
    • Ensure that feedback from engagement surveys informs talent and performance management practices.
    • Assess and refine current processes and programs to meet evolving business needs and drive organizational effectiveness.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and integrate best practices into FanDuel’s talent and performance strategies.
  • Communication and Leadership
    • Develop and execute a communication plan for regular updates on talent and performance initiatives.
    • Anticipate and address potential challenges, manage competing priorities effectively, and ensure alignment with FanDuel’s strategic goals.
    • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support FanDuel Group’s objectives.

  • Experience consulting with internal stakeholders on performance, talent, and development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering performance management strategies, including framework creation and reporting, while collaborating with leaders to develop structured plans that sustain best-in-class talent development practices.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in a global organization.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Track record of contributing to and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends in data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with experience creating impactful presentations and data analyses.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment and deliver under pressure.

The applicable salary range for this position is $144,000 - $200,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
