As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for upskilling our technical talent, building comprehensive onboarding plans for new hires, and ensuring that our technology employees have all the tools they need to succeed. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about both technology and training.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong interest in driving change through innovative learning programs, has a strong background managing vendor relationships, and has a solid understanding of technical topics, including some programming languages. You should be someone who enjoys both creating and delivering training content, while also being deeply involved in analyzing trends and ensuring alignment with business needs.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

As a Developer Advocate Senior Manager, you will:

  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Own and nurture strategic relationships with eLearning vendors like O'Reilly and Knowledge Academy to deliver high-quality learning experiences for our technology teams. Additional vendor relationships may arise depending on business needs. It will be critical that this role defines when and why we use one vendor over another.
  • AWS Partnership: Be the primary partner for AWS, managing our seats for AWS Skills builder, driving strategy for AWS live classes, and ensuring that all employees are accountable in their learning progress.
  • Certification Management: Distribute vouchers for AWS certifications and manage the budget and voucher distribution for other certifications such as CAPM, PMP, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, ITIL, and more.
  • Onboarding Plans: Collaborate with working groups to create and execute detailed onboarding plans for new technology hires, ensuring a smooth transition and fast ramp-up.
  • Continued Education + Mentorship: act as an advisor as some teams launch mentorship or career development initiatives.
  • Training Execution: facilitate virtual workshops on a variety of technical topics, sometimes solo and sometimes in partnership with a vendor or FanDuel engineer. Topics may include GitHub Copilot, Open AI, and more.
  • LMS: create courses and pull reports on our learning management system.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technology-related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in employee training within a technology environment. Experience using an LMS preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with OpenAI, AWS, or similar cloud platforms is highly preferred. Someone who graduated from a coding bootcamp or academy would be a strong fit for this role.
  • Adaptability: Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment while maintaining a strong focus on results.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain professional decorum and focus on details in all aspects of your work.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of comfort in public speaking and facilitating training sessions.
  • Project Management: Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple complex projects and meet deadlines.
  • Problem Solver: A natural problem solver who can proactively identify trends, prevent issues, and influence positive organizational change.
