THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Business Control Manager to lead the operationalization of first-line risk and control initiatives. As a key member of the Casino Business Unit (“BU”), this role will refine practices to meet regulatory obligations, strengthen controls, implement risk mitigation strategies, and deliver sustainable governance solutions. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of compliance, and integrating risk management to help the BU navigate regulatory complexities and proactively address risks.
THE GAME PLAN

In alignment with FanDuel’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and related Enterprise Risk Programs:
- Strengthen governance and streamline escalation processes for risk items
- Align Casino BU risk and control practices with Flutter/FDG’s frameworks and standards
- Develop and deliver targeted training programs to embed risk and compliance practices across the Casino BU
- Advocate for the Casino BU in strategy and committee meetings on risk and control initiatives
- Centralize and manage all Casino BU risk items and regulatory obligations in a single, accessible framework
- Refine and scale processes for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on risks and controls
- Define infrastructure needs and drive the deployment of tools to enhance risk management capabilities
- Implement efficient, first-line protocols for managing and resolving risk-related issues
- Standardize metrics and reporting processes to ensure consistency in risk and control monitoring
- Lead the coordination of audit requests and ensure timely, thorough responses
- Set clear data governance and quality requirements to strengthen decision-making and compliance
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- Bachelor’s degree
- Manager = 4 years plus 1 year management experience
- A strong aptitude for documenting processes, controls, policies, and procedures, analytics and reporting
- Experience writing and assessing risks and controls and drafting executive summaries on business processes
- Program and project implementation skillset required
- An exceptional team builder and team player
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
- Dedicated team player who is able to withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Highly organized, results driven, problem solver, and collaborator
- Working as a consultant covering risk, compliance or audit work a plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $104,000 - $136,500, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
